About the Author Historian of Atlanta and the American South Dr. Andy Ambrose is deputy director and chief operating officer of the Atlanta History Center. Dr. Ambrose has served as the associate editor of the AHC’s journal, Atlanta History: A Journal of Georgia and the South. An adjunct professor at Emory University, he is the author of Atlanta: An Illustrated History (with a foreword by U.S. Representative John Lewis), and co-author, with Darlene Roth, of Metropolitan Frontiers, as well as author of numerous articles about the city and the region. He lives in Atlanta with his wife Terry and two young children. |
