Atlanta's Favorite Christmas Tradition Revisited
the book
Priscilla the Pink Pig is back! From 1953 to 1991, generations of Georgians began their holiday season by piling onto the bright pink monorail atop the flagship Rich’s store at Atlanta’s Five Points. Bowing to widespread appeals in 2003, Rich’s-Macy’s revived Atlanta’s most beloved holiday tradition, bringing the Pink Pig back to its Lenox Square store. All of Priscilla’s friends were thrilled to welcome her back and look forward to seeing her for countless Christmases to come!
In November 2004, Hill Street Press, in cooperation with Rich’s-Macy’s, will publish an illustrated scrapbook, tentatively titled I RODE THE PINK PIG!, to celebrate the porcine pleasures of every Georgian’s favorite holiday tradition. This nostalgic book will include loads of history, fun facts, and personal remembrances and snapshots from those who love her the most.
